Serving At Church

We are a Holy Spirit led church with a mission to be totally committed to God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and introducing others to Jesus. Below you will see how we as a church family believe we can express this in our everyday lives as we try to walk like Jesus, and how these expressions of commitment, empowerment, and introducing others to Jesus can also be demonstrated through serving at church.

Our Vision

Our Vision is to build a Strong, Charismatic, Evangelical Baptist Church that reaches into the community of Lowestoft to further the Kingdom of God, especially amongst 16 to 40 year olds.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to achieve this by being:

Totally Committed to God

Expressed through:

  • Dependence on Jesus
  • Worship
  • Prayer Life
  • Holy living according to God’s word
  • Sacrificial Giving
  • Dedicated Service

Empowered by the Holy Spirit

Expressed through:

  • Everyone using their gifts
  • Expecting and experiencing signs & wonders
  • Readiness to be changed
  • Lifelong growing

Introducing Others to Jesus

Expressed through:

  • Listening
  • Loving
  • Telling
  • Personal Witness
  • Community action

YOUR CHURCH NEEDS YOU

We have many opportunities to serve at church. Not just on a Sunday, but throughout the Week, Month and the Year.

At LRBC serving is considered an act of ministry. A space where we can express our spiritual gifts, use the talents graciously given to us by God, and enjoy fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

Many of us found the Your Place In God’s Church course immensely helpful in identifying our personal spiritual gifts, and help LRBC reverse the traditional trend in churches of ‘a few doing much’ by recognising that many hands make light work.

If you feel called to serve in any of the ministries below or wish to discuss your thoughts on how you can serve, in the first instance, please contact the Church Secretary (Phyllis Axon) directly by emailing office@londonroad.org.uk, calling the office on 01502 514091 on Wednesday 9:30am – 2:30pm, or using the online form on the contact page.
