LRBC Kids

LRBC Kids is at the core of our Children & Families mission in Lowestoft. We have a wide range of fun and age-appropriate sessions and activities taking place throughout the week, and a number of special events on key dates in the annual calendar.

LRBC Kids activities are focused on supporting families with babies, pre-schoolers, and children and up to primary school age (0 years – 10 years).

Supported by a wonderful small team of volunteers, our dedicated part-time Children & Families worker creates and co-ordinates the activities including Kids Church & Family Area on Sunday mornings, and two Little Fishes Toddler Group sessions on Wednesdays.

Kidz Church

Sundays: 10:30am - 12pm

Kidz Church is made up of a number of age appropriate groups for primary school aged children (5yrs - 11yrs) that take place at the same time as our adult Sunday Service.

They are a place for children and young people to primarily grow their relationship with God, through learning more about Him and encountering Him in different ways.

Groups are fun, relevant to that particular age and are a training ground which it is hoped the children and young people will leave feeling equipped to share their faith with their friends.

Family Area @ Church

Sundays: 10:30am - 12pm

People with young children and babies can enjoy our Sunday Services while making use of our family space located at the rear of the main sanctuary.

You can see that’s going on through huge glass doors and windows, and hear everything being said and sung through the high-quality speakers wired into the room.

There are small chairs, and tables packed with fun and gentle activities to keep the little ones entertained

Easy access to toilets and changing facilities.

No need to book. Just show up. We look forward to seeing you

Little Fishes Toddler Group

Wednesdays: 9:15am - 11:15am & 12:45pm - 2:45pm

At Little Fishes we welcome all parents and carers with children aged 0 – 4 years.

Each week we offer a range of activities to engage and develop children, these include imaginary, active & creative play sessions. We also have a baby area for the very young.

Each session also includes snack time and a song, instrument & story time.

The Church is committed to following safe practice in it dealings with children, young people and vulnerable adults. It has therefore adopted the guidelines and procedures published by the Baptist Union of Great Britain in its publication Safe to Grow.

As part of that commitment the Church has appointed a children’s advocate, Abi Warner. We ensure that all our children’s and young people’s workers have Enhanced Disclosures from Criminal Records Bureau undertaken by the Church.

A copy of our safeguarding policy is available if you wish to read it.
